  • Right across infrastructure, there’s a requirement to not only maintain, but also renew and reimagine. Whatever stage you’re at in your career, with us you’ll have an opportunity to grow and develop. Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.

    Where will you be working?

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards.  We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

This role will be within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

Want to be a part of it?

    What will you be doing?

In this role, you’ll take the lead and coordinate multidisciplinary in‑house and external design teams to deliver high‑quality projects on time and within budget. You’ll help shape and maintain effective design processes, working closely with senior leadership and collaborating with delivery teams on technical outputs, programmes, risk management, and resourcing.
You’ll act as the key technical interface for clients and stakeholders, ensuring operational and buildability requirements are embedded throughout the design lifecycle.

You’ll manage design delivery from concept to handover, champion innovative and low‑carbon solutions, and provide mentoring to junior staff while maintaining a strong focus on health and safety.
You will also maintain clear design records, secure design approvals, coordinate final points of connection, participate in project handovers, ensure compliance with the Design Management Plan, and manage temporary works suppliers as part of the design process.

    What you’ll bring

We’re seeking an experienced engineering professional who is qualified to HND or Degree level in a relevant Engineering discipline. You’ll bring hands‑on design experience across infrastructure projects, including civils and wastewater assets, along with proven project management and costing experience within the multi‑utilities sector.

You'll have a strong understanding of current legislation, technical standards, and specifications, and be confident coordinating remote specialist design teams such as Structures, Geotechnical, and MEICA disciplines. A solid knowledge of the construction industry, NRSWA requirements, Health and Safety practices, CDM 2015 Regulations, industrial hazards, and process safety is essential.

We’re looking for someone with excellent communication, leadership, and project coordination skills—someone who can motivate and manage diverse teams while delivering high‑quality outcomes.
