EHS Manager - Network Services, Nuclear

Telent (part of M Group) are looking for an EHS Manager to join it's Network Services division, due to an increase in work within the Nuclear space.

Location: 1-2 days per month at the Bridgwater (Somerset, South West of England) office, and project locations as required, and working from home where appropriate. This is a HYBRID / AGILE working role, with approximately 15% of the role requiring site attendance, and 85% of the role responsible for planning, documentation, auditing and EHS management activities.

    What you'll do:

    • Develop, review and maintain health, safety and environmental management plans, procedures, risk assessments and method statements for major infrastructure projects.
    • Provide expert EHS guidance to project teams, construction managers and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
    • Conduct audits, inspections, surveillance activities and compliance reviews to support safe project delivery.
    • Review and challenge contractor documentation, ensuring robust controls are in place before site activities commence.
    • Support the development and implementation of risk-based monitoring programmes and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Investigate issues, identify improvements and contribute to the ongoing development of a strong safety culture across Network Services projects.
    • Provide environmental support and guidance, ensuring projects meet legislative and organisational requirements.

    Who you are:

You'll be a qualified and/or experienced EHS Manager / EHS professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with strong written communication skills. You'll be comfortable developing formal health and safety documentation, challenging existing processes and supporting project teams to achieve high safety and environmental standards. Experience within construction, utilities, telecoms, communications or similar infrastructure environments would be highly beneficial. You will be required to travel to our Bridgwater office at least 1-2 days per month and other project locations, so you will naturally enjoy travelling when / where required.

    Key Requirements:

    • Possess a health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
    • Proven EHS experience within construction, utilities, telecoms, fibre, communications or similar operational environments.
    • Strong document-writing skills, including experience producing health and safety plans, procedures, manuals, risk assessments and related documentation.
    • Good understanding of construction health, safety and environmental legislation, risk management and auditing principles.
    • Environmental awareness and understanding of sustainable working practices.
    • Holder of a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to Bridgwater (Somerset) and other project locations.
    • Ability to satisfy BPSS-related screening requirements, including a minimum of 5 years of UK residency.

    What we offer:

At Telent, we're committed to creating an inclusive culture where everyone feels valued, supported, and able to thrive. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and encourage diverse perspectives across our teams.
